In Habakkuk 2:14 there is a famous prophetic ‘urge’ or promise about a future day when planet earth will be filled with the glory of God. It says “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” This is a vast vision, of many millions of men, women and children from every nation, tribe and ethnic group caught up in the passionate worship and glorification of God. Don’t believe the pessimistic news reports about the demise of the church. God has a glorious future for His church! The church, which is the community of God’s people is meant to be the magnificent and ever expanding home of God’s glorious work of salvation and restoration.
